Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This privacy policy describes how information is collected and used when you message a business through WhatsApp that is connected to our chat bot service (the “Service”).
Information we collect
When you send a WhatsApp message to a business using this Service, we may receive and store:
- Your WhatsApp phone number
- Your WhatsApp profile name, if provided by Meta
- The content of messages you send and receive through the bot
- Menu choices, session state, and answers you provide during lead-capture flows
- Technical webhook metadata (timestamps, delivery status, and related API payloads)
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Respond to your messages and run automated menu or FAQ flows
- Capture lead information requested by the business (for example, name, budget, or contact details)
- Let authorized business staff review conversations and leads in a private admin panel
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service
How information is shared
Messages are processed through the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta). We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared with:
- Meta / WhatsApp, as required to deliver messages
- The business operating the WhatsApp number you contacted
- Hosting or infrastructure providers that run the Service on our behalf
- Authorities when required by applicable law
Data retention
Conversation, lead, and user session data is kept for as long as the business needs it to operate the Service. Technical webhook logs may be deleted automatically after a limited retention period (typically 30 days) unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data, including access controls on administrative tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You can stop receiving bot messages at any time by replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE / CANCEL / END, and common local variants). We will confirm and stop further replies until you reply START to subscribe again. You can also simply cease messaging the business on WhatsApp. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of data held by a specific business, contact that business directly using the contact details they provide. You can also review our Data Deletion Instructions.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
